Tim as a teenager

Tim spent his teenage years in Shropshire and the Wirral where he took every opportunity to sail with the sea Cadets. He then went to Seale Hayne Agricultural College in Devon. He loved exploring the wild Devon countryside.

As social secretary Tim booked The Tourists a slightly obscure band fronted by the little known Annie Lennox to play in their social club. However the week before they were due to play they reached the top of the charts and the venue was overwhelmed by students wanting to see this "now" famous band. In the mayhem they forgot to book accommodation. So after the concert Tim took them back to his small cottage and the band slept on floors and sofas and Annie Lennox asked where she could sleep. Tim said that he had a very large bed upstairs. They slept head to toe but as she became one of the most famous pop stars he always had this great story.
